Document Management with Chat
A Windows application for scanning, importing and organising files into server-backed drawers, with in-app chat for sharing documents between users.
The client's users kept paper and digital documents in scattered folders and shared them by email. They wanted a simple filing cabinet on the desktop, backed by a central server, with a quick way to send a document to a colleague.
- Scan or import documents and store them centrally.
- Organise files in a familiar drawer-and-folder structure.
- Share files and messages between users without leaving the application.
WeyBee built the desktop client in C# with DevExpress, and the server API in Laravel on an Ubuntu server with Nginx. Documents are scanned or imported, uploaded to the server and opened through the API. A built-in chat lets users message each other and share files. Licensing controls access to the software.
